Thank you so much, my dear Srna...the shot was taken at the time of 'Holi' at Shantiniketan (A university town set up by Nobel Laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore).It is a festival of colors – for welcoming spring. On the day, everybody keep spraying coloured water and coloured powder (known as abir) at each other, as you see on the girl's face... Usually girls at Shantiniketan dress up in saffron-coloured clothes and wear garlands of fragrant flowers. The lady in my picture also wears floral garland and is holding a folk-neckless. She is a painter, poet and journalist and stays at Londan.
