About Thought I'd try something different for a change...not very comfortable with landscapes...I'm no Hayri Caliskan! There was a fence between me and the barn with a big "No Trespassing" sign on it so I couldn't get closer.

Crop a little off the bottom... but, well, it's fine the way it is. Great shot.

Hi Barry - was going to have a play with a rework but decided that this is quite good as is - agree a closer shot would have been better - to see more of 'Harlan's Rust' ...smile!

Beautiful photo! It probably works fine with many differet kind of compositions (bottom crop, top crop etc) but personally I think it works very well with no crop, as it is now! I don't think you would have this many viewers if the composition was boring! And I clicked in to the image because it looked wonderful on thumbnail! So... IMO I think this is beautiful as it is! A very nice view, wonderful colours and beautiful old barn!

Barry, You certainly got Hayri's attention :-)
I agree the composition could be worked on. I guess you have hear of the "Rule of thirds" Just in case (and this works for portraits and landscapes). You can see I have cropped and drawn some lines in "thirds" (1/3) By positioning key elemenst along these lines it generall balances out better. There are always exceptions of course.
As to the trespassing sign. - These are for honest decent folk. If you dont enter a building or walk on recently ploughed own sown land your note likely to get into to much trouble. Some farmers/owners are very sensitive of course and I would never trespass onto someones house lot, best option is to ask the farmer if you can or crop.
Best regards david T

Very nice. I like the colors and lighting. It would make a lovely painting. :)

A very lovely composition. I agree with the forefront. I believe that I would crop about 1/2 of the front grass. But a very inviting composition.

Casolare nella prateria! Buona realizzazione. Belli gli alberi che "spezzano" tra il prato e il cielo.

The red roof and rusty iron stand out from the green of the grass and foliage, but I think you could have done more with the composition. Too much foreground and the barn is lost in the hollow. A clser view point could have improved this image. Good effort. Regards John
