The sickly sweet candy floss sky welled up over the iconic island tree on Rannoch moor one crisp April morning to herald another spring return to the moor. A light mist burnt off the surface of the water which had already given rise to some delightful reflections. Although I have shot this tree innumerable times in various conditions this gentle pink candy floss textured version is the first time I had seen it quite like this.

Could the pink candy floss be caused by something rare to Scotland as called the Eyjafjallajökull ? It is of an amazing beauty but then it is also a catastrophe. Excellent capture anyway 7/7 best regards, Paul
I always feel Glencoe is one of the most forbidding of settings, but that may be partly because of its history. This is definitely a "first." Candy floss indeed! Puts it in quite a new light.
