The great exactness of the textures of the petals finds its perfect contrast on the smooth background, Dave. The tension is very nice! I see how the very very well captired details of the flower are still there and nonetheless they seem to transform to smoother lines due to the influence of the background. A very special image in this sense.
The nice restricted palette of brilliant colors is another plus here. It seems to enhance not only the flower but also the very look and feel of that garden - or whatever place it was.
Very authentic for me.

Great job with the bright yellow Dave. I hate shooting bright yellow and white. The glare can be a real pain.
