Beautiful capture Dan, that's a wonderful pose with the perfect title for the wing and tail feathers fanned out.
I do not mind the softness in the eye area as it is such a fast bird in low light conditions, great job with that slow shutter speed.

Thank Keith, yes this is with the newly tuned lens, they had to replace the autofocus chip to fix the problem. I would have like more DOF here to bring the eye into more focus. I was running ISO400 didn't really want to go much higher and F2.8 and still only 1/40sec 200mm hand held. Did alright for this old fella ;-). I am amazed I got any of these little birds as they are constantly on the move, and mostly in dark places.
