About not a big fan of this section, but this image merits an explanation; this is my girl resting on abandoned armchair located in the middle of nowhere on the way to the Holy city of Santiago de Compostela in north Spain (The St James road); Crosses are very common on the way

No wonder you always capture scenes of the crucifix., you must have an interesting place there. i like the color version with it's subdued brightness.
wonderful Txules

I like this coloured version better than the black and white, I really like the lack of light here and the saturation and lack of in some parts due to the lighting. I find this shot attracts me more to the lady on the sofa chair as there is more lighting in this portion, I find in the black and white shot that my eyes were more focused on the cross.

Very good image. To me, it is better than the B&W version. I wish to see some foreground details.

regards.

jeje, we must be connected because I upload a new version, about my girl, many times i use her (sorry for the verb) as reference for the other ellements in the photo, even in this I do not think she is the main subject, for me the cross is the key point
about overdo: yes I usually do it :(

Me again ... she deserves more light on her in this position and with this smile and mood ... and for posing for you ...
My final decision !
This is how you should treat your Lady on this photo when you already do have a tendency to overdo things/photos

difficult to keep a good balance Gary, I have a clear tendency to overdo my images :)

Is it too dark, or is it just the sun setting? The top half of the image is certainly not too dark, the silhouette gives it it's atmosphere. The bottom half is probably too dark because she's smiling and we associate that with light. Now if she looked sad, you could even go darker IMO.
Regards, Gary

Very moody, very dark and I have read how you favour the dark JD. The atmosphere is powerful and I think your exposure is perfect, well done again. Cheers my friend, all the best......Ray

do not apologize my friend, everyone has his/her own taste, for me one point of light usually is enough, the rest use to be superfluous, but much better if you get the efect as a reflection of light conditions during the shot than a result of heavy postprocess like this
take care....txules
