About Taken near to the Colonel Light statue on Montefiore Hill. Colonel Light was the founder of Adelaide and his statue marks the approximate spot where he stood when he decided upon the site for the city of Adelaide to be built.

Light decided to surround the city with parklands, which is depicted by the large tree shown in the foreground.
