Like Gary Hill, I came in late on this photograph. It's one I'd have been very proud to have taken: it's a potent, memorable portrait. Someone described it as "a very ordinary photograph" adding: "I am at a loss to understand why you posted it". That acidulous comment seems to owe more to politics than art, if I may say so. I do hope politics will not overtake the purpose of Usefilm.
It's very obvious why you posted your photograph here Srna, and many congratulations on it.

Looks like I've come in late for this image. It was interesting to read the wide ranging nature of the critiques. For what it's worth this is not a silly or even ordinary image. You might feel my photo is ordinary, you might remove me from your associates list in order not to view anymore silly and what you feel are ordinary photos of mine ... you might even talk about argument that are spurious, that is your right and I might feel quite opposite than you do ...
From the very beginning I had always accepted your constructive critics and never had disagreed with you as far as I do remember. Never had a problem to accept friendly and nice way from you to learn and to progress !!! But you obviously think I had not and I do respect your opinion.
And I really do not see why all this big mass suddenly ?!
You will not change your mind ... my photos are ordinary for you and I can live with that.
My opinion is that I have good, average or excellent photos in my portfolio ... but I really do not need to argue and I have never run away from the truth. It is absolutely normal to me to live with who I am and on what level I am ... do not ever had any problems with that.
You have also so very ordinary photos in your portfolio but have I ever made any big mass about that ?! We are all just people and the most important thing is to respect each other and to be friendly and opened here on this site, site for learning and progressing not for arguing or insulting !!!

I think it is right that each public what it considers most appropriate.

umm she did actually reply this morning but has said nothing in her response to answer the challenge I set.. in that I felt it was just an ordinary picture with no redeeming features.. I have decided to solve the issue by removing her from my associates list in order that I not view anymore silly and what I feel are ordinary photographs. I would point out tho that your introduction of "commercial" into the argument is spurious.. esp when family snaps are involved as they have a sentimental attachment that far outweighs any commercial value.. I would not buy or even swap her for this image but if family are involved then the images relative worth would be increased by members of that family who KNOW the individual and apply all sorts of baggage to the image. Thanks for your support on the issue tho I feel that we are in the minority.. cheers Roger

Angry and disappointed my sweet Ania ... while his friend was cheating him playing cards ... realizing his best friend was doing this and this is the moment I am glad I captured cause we talked about this after ...
You know by your self that growing up and facing the facts is not always so very easy but I do my best to stand and be with him when ever I can in order him to become mentally and emotionally stable person one day prepared for life in front of him.
Suppose your parents did good with you ... gave you all their love, support and understanding no matter what !!!

I is true anger, from insode. Not because of greed or bad intentions, just pure anger bcse somebody crossed his borders. Tell him he was right.
