Thanks, man! I am really happy with the way this shot turned out. Once I realized we were playing with fire (her energy and curves) I kept shooting trying to get her hair in a wild position and I kept forcing her to get more and more angular with her pose. When I chimped this shot, I giggled like Scooby Doo.

Well, I don't know about *subtle* post work, Phil. LOL This is certainly harder than I usually aim for, but her strong pose was just crying out for it.
As for 'perfect timing' of the photographer, I give more credit to my 5fps shutter and the phrase, "ok, one more time."

Thanks a lot, Stan. I'm really tickled with the way this shot came out. She arrived almost an hour late, and I cut the shoot quite short instead of staying later, so my shot count on this session was about half of my normal sessions.
But, as I learned from my film days - If I get ONE good shot from an outing...I WIN! ;)

Wow, I just spotted this one.
Congrats on the award Paul. Well deserved. An image with loads of energy and vibrancy with subtle yet distictive post processing to match. A beautiful model, who's pose and mane compliment the scene perfectly. Not to forget the perfect timing from the tog.

Thanks Agustin. I really like my Sigma 28-70 for its constant f/2.8 aperture (though, this shot was at f/8 so I could have used any lens).
As for the effect applied, I thought Kristy's pose (after some direction) was pretty strong and deserved an equally strong post-process, so I used an action from Kubota called Dragon Princess (a variant of Dragan effect).
