Thanks so much Barb for your comments. No the ferns and called ferns, it is the new curled shoots that are called Koru. Koru basically means new life. Here is one of my photos of a Koru http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1420277

Thanks so much Julie for a honest critique, you were not the only one to mention this and I thought about it at the time. But the decision was made to include it for depth. Hugs and Kisses, Dan

Compositionaly, this is so artistically appealing. A deliciously feel good image. (Please excuse my naivete' but is the fern in the foreground, koru?

Beautiful dear Dan, I find the branches in the front a bit distracting but that's personal preference. Such a serene capture. Thanks for sharing. Hugs and kisses, Julie

This is stunning Dan .. perfect water veiling and as the ferns in the foreground are in sharp focus I think they add a good sense of depth and scale .. I'd keep them 7/7 :)

I love the silkiness of the water cascading over the falls that the slow shutter speeds always produce. The few times I have had the opportunity of shooting falls I always seemed to go for a faster shutter speed and then regret that I didn't vary my settings. Hey ho! I think I agree with you as the foreground ferns add to the composition rather than distract. Well done to you again Dan. All the very best my friend.....Ray

I had thought something similar, but then thought it added more depth to the shot. Yes I see what you are saying. Thanks so much Joann for your honest comments they are appreciated.

I love this image, but might have cloned the bottom branches,as well as the bits on either side, as they seem to take the eye away from the beauty of the waterfall. Just my humble opinion. Blessings to you and yours, SHINE
