About Some of the "Balanced Sculptures" in the Ottawa River, by John Felice Ceprano. The are all done by hand from rocks over 400 million years old, many of them with fossils. Each year nature dismantles them during the winter. No mortar is used, it's all by design and balance.
The fall skyline of Ottawa, including the Peace Tower at the Parliament Buildings is in the background.

some times you don't need any of stylish things of our modern world to get a piece of art... of example... rocks, common rocks, is there anything interesting? Probably not, until now! That is a great photo to give us a more open mind about what is nice and what not... and sometimes even rocks can be great... surely THAT is a great example of that, great shot Dave. Be well my friend.

Oh Wow Dave. What an interesting shot and 'about'. The sculptures look excellent and I love the depth you have in this delightful composition with it's little splash of Autumnal colour. Well done to you my dear friend. I am sorry to be late in commenting. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

What a great artistic idea, Dave. I think it very well symbplizes the rythm of nature. And very well captured by you, too.
Thank you so much for your detailed comment on my photo.

These are very interesting sculptures Dave. We have passed by some people building similar ones on the Toronto Lakeshore. It is fascinating watching them. It takes a great deal of patience to balance everything just so.

Great work Dave, I know the area well, I like the shot of the Parliament Buldings in the background and your usual description of the shot with historical notes, always a pleasure to read.

The perspective and composition could be better by standing nearer one if the sculptures and including the others too, Dave. Still good as it is, but unfinished.

The coloring seems strange to me in this case. I don't know if that was the reason for the seemingly lower contrast. This is what I perceive as "hazy".

Cheers!

Nick

Nicely composed and good perspective with this land/seascape. Colorful too. Well done!

P.S. I had to open a new account because my old one was linked to Comcast, which has been blacklisted for some reason.
