Great picture, Sophie. Crop a little to straighten the buildings.

well done Sophie, this is good, love the title, it's a good shot, has some vibrancy or something that makes it 'live', clever stuff!....keep it up. cheers, david.

Like a patient hunter, you set up the trap and waited.
Well done for the result.

Hi Sophie, I use the arbitrary setting of rotation so that I can do it by a few degrees. This shot was close enough it did not bother me, just noticed the other comment and threw in my dimes worth. It is all subjective anyway, I thought the mood and lightning capture were great. You take care and just have fun.
Be well, stan

Thanks for the comment Stan. Yes photoshop has a rotation command which I use frequently, I just didnt really pay that much attention to this particular photograph because compared to the others it was almost right. Thankyou,
Sophie

Nice capture and the lightning was good to you. I am still waiting for my first capture. I have gotten some excellent black sky shots with out the strike. Some times you can turn you image with a few degree adjustment depending on your software, I have righted my image on more than one occasion. I still think it is a great composition and I am always slightly on a tilt any way with my bad back and short leg.
Be well, Stan

lol yeh i had issues with that. in some that i took one building would be straight and the next one wasnt. the horizon in this one is just off being level so maybe thats the issue
Thankyou for your comments Peta,
Soph

Wicked Soph - now just tell the building to stand up straight for you next time ;)

Thanks Howie,
Yes i set it to a 30 second exposure at about f11 or so and waited, and waited, and waited, until I got a nice shot.
Thankyou for your comment,
Sophie
