The earthiness of the colour, both dress & facial tones here, speaks of the harsh life & conditions that the Saharaui endure daily Txules... Yet there is much strength too...

You capture the essence of what you see always Dear Sir...

I prefer the color version more, but then again I'm a color freak;) Either way they're both exceptional! The figure emerging from darkness here, it seems creates more of an emotional point....to me anyhow;)

You certainly miss understood me my friend. I'll take b/w anytime and in your case more so but of course once in a while we run into an exception. Look at www.usefilm.com/image/1466163 (the woman breast feeding). The skin tones looked like a Rembrandt (read my comment on that post), and I know that because I saw one at Prado (surprised?). I always thought those painting were 8x10's!!!. I certainly was surprised .Now look at the sunflowers www.usefilm.com/image/1469639 and I would take the b/w anytime. You can read souls better with b/w's. As far as the boats are concerned , again I would take the b/w even though I love that little trick of saturating the buoys and do the opposite to the rest of the image. I do it myself and thank you so very much to think of me on your posts. It's very encouraging and thoughtful.

Jesus, b/w and color are both good, I prefer this color version ! Maybe some Basque people may help the Saharaui people to obtain their freedom ;-)
And no, this you will not find in Zuerich. I was in Zuerich in the Triemli spital in 1994 for work.

STOP DOING THAT!!! It's the second time that I prefer the color image from you. It's not suppose to happen. As far as the photograph in concerned I would say that the intelligent inquisitive look coming from her eyes is remarkable. You have a "Way" with people my friend. I suspect people truly like you.

the usual color version for the same subject, should surpass the black and white version by many many miles, but this one is even off equal,if we do not say less value than the B&W one, cause in the last the framing black color have blended with the black head scarf of the lady(grandma),leading all the attention of the viewer to only her face, and this effect is not present in the color version, thank JD for presenting the both versions,
I am comparing, and this does not lessen the value of the color version at all,it is just a Hit,for a portrait,
all the best,
Saad.

Me gusta más en color, es casi monocromática y el sepia, me parece, le va mejor.

Un abrazo y sigo a la espera de las novedades.
