I finished high school there and I came here after that. I still do have some relatives in Iran. And I can't wait to see them all again.

Morning to you as well, Mitra. Your home town sounds beautiful. I hope you will be able to see it someday as you would like to see it. 30 years is a long time. How old were you when you left Iran? Do you still have relatives there? I left California after I got home from the military. I needed a change from there. I picked Montana for it's mountains and clean water. After the jungle I was ready for a big change. Part of my healing process. Thanks for sharing. Be well, Stan

Top of the moring to you my dear friend Stan. I was born and raised in the beautiful port city of Khorramshahr in Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran. You could only find the best of people there full of life with good hearts and deeds and bravery. The city was destroyed and invaded in the war between Iran and Iraq but the people who loved their hometown so much reclaimed/recaptured and rebuilt their city again after the war stopped. When I grew up there it was like Santa Cruz, Ca. and one day again I am sure it will become even much prettier than before. I know the day that I get to see it again will be an emotional one for me as I have not seen it for the past almost 30 years.

Mitra I agree with Wolf. You and Aziz have done you hometown proud. It is not where you have come from but who you have become that matters. Life is a journey through many places but we are always the same person regardless of our location. Hopefully we grow into the best we can be as we travel this life. What was the name of your hometown. Mine was Ventura, Ca. Be well, Stan

That place in Iran is a place of miracles Mitra ! I am sure many western photographers would make a pelgrimage to see the birthplace of you and Sir Aziz.

Thank you so much my dear protective friend Stan. You really don't have to paint it at all :) It is just so nice to know that there is someone else on this site who knows exactly where I am from. :) Be well, Mitra
