Amazing perspective - very well seen! The black and white gives it a wonderful moodiness.the stairs just keep going up and up... a great shot. regards, Jacqueline.

Very funny! :) I think you got your facts mixed up Doug. You are the professional and I am the amateur one! I still need you to give me your professional and honest opinion to improve... Okay? :))

I just can't compete with you Professionals to save my life, so I hope you don't mind if I only comment on Amateur images from now on such as mine and the like then I will feel more comfortable and at ease ... Okay?

Oh, it shouldn't be *much* difference, Mitra, but only a minimal one. The image was fine anyway.

Cheers!

Thank you so much Nick for your nice and kind comment. I don't see much difference between the rework and the original one. Thank you for your interest and time.
Kind regards,
Mitra

The very first time I saw your beautiful State Pat was in 1988 and I had never seen so many billboards anywhere else than I saw in South Dakota! :) The next few times after that first initial visit I still saw so many of them, but is it still the same? I couldn't stop laughing everytime I was there especially at the billboards to the Wall Drug! :))
I am not very sure but I think I saw Corn Palace back in my '88 visit too.

I joke about the Corn Palace, I have to see it almost every day.

You might have seen more of SD than me.

If your ever in the neighborhood...

Mitra Nademi-Nassari Mitra Nademi-Nassari   {K:28234} 10/10/2008
:) you're right...I also forgot to mention the most famous place in SD- the Mount Rushmore and I have been to this one few times and I loved it very much! Oh, I have been to the Crazy Horse too! :)

We're indeed! :) I have seen most of your beautiful State Pat few times. I loved my visits there. I love the air, trees, the Black Hills and the Badlands National Park the most and of course the Wall Drug Store! :))

Good tonal range that kept the hues and details very original, Mitra. The details match the perspective very well too, as the leading lines enhance the sense for depth in which then the details get smaller and smaller as we proceed into the background. The overall look has also something vintage, perhaps because of the look and feel of the wooden stairs and railing.

Could a little rotation and some dodging of the top left area be good? (Attachment.)

Cheers!

Nick

I don't think you need a lift to go up there Paul. You don't look to me that worn up and old! :)
Thanks for your very nice comment.

Very good in B&W. Now the focus is more on composition. No color indeed which could distract otherwise. Amazing step pattern and perspective all over the image.
Very good Mitra,
P.S. Pfff...Is there also a lift ?
hugs and kisses,
Paul
