I get your drift and generally agree with you, Mark.
I had a second light camera right, but it was really flattening her features, and making it really flat. I reached over and turned that Bee off, leaving just the soft-box camera left and the kick light on the boom above her. My first test shot confirmed the dramatic improvement.
With poses, and even with lights, sometimes less IS more.

Very Nice...... I think without the cheek make-up this would be a PERFECT SHOT. It's still very good IMHO but I just feel that the make-up is a bit over board. Again , still a very strong shot and .... well, I don't wanna repeat the head shot comments .....7+

Thanks, Avi. There actually WAS a little less light in the raw shot, but I boosted exposure while loading it in the Photoshop RAW converter. Yeah, I might have pushed it a tiny bit too far.

whoever did the make-up did a VERY GOOD job ! I would have preferred a l-i-ttle less light overall, though. what do you think ?

Thanks, Julie. This was just two lights, ya know. I had turned my 3rd strobe off because it was flattening the shadows too much.
