...not any day animals again! :-D Excellent shot...even in that deep greyscale, these little ones looks very nice, united like a family perhaps... and your frame 'hug' that family tightly, excellent work my friend!

Thanks Paul, long time no see!! The D300 for Ir I don`t think will give you good images because of the blocking filters that`s gives great visible light images[just like the D200]Your best bet would to get a used D80. Check out this site for lens reviews http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/ Good luck in your retirement, guess you will have all the time for your photography. Just setup this email account birdinflight101@gmail.com,hope you will use it and then I can give you my proper email.

Great shot Robert....Love this wildlife IR... Great details and sharp point of focus.... Excellent highlights and shadows......
I wanted to tell you Ill be getting the D300 In a couple of months.....I have moved from Oklahoma and now living in Georgia. I wanted to ask you how the d300 did with IR....Going to have my retirement check and plan to spend 3000 to 3500 on the camera and some pro glass...... All VR lens. I want a good fast 300mm to 400 2.8 wildlife lens and more than likely will go with tamron or sigma. A good portrait len and something creative. If you have any suggestions Id be happy to hear them...
