Hey Hey Hey, girl... from what I have seen so far... looks like you are really paying attention to your work!! wooohooo....

Now we'll get you going on your post-processing... a little burning here and there to bring out the relief of these rocks.... and add a bit of contrast and you'll be a force to reckon with....

:)

Dear Paul .

I am so happy that I have been able to attract your attention to the Oregon coast as it is so very beautiful - really something to see .... I do wish for a warmer climate but can't have it all--- I guess .... Maybe someday you will be able to visit as my dear friend 'Annemette Ericksen' did come for a visit this past March from Denmark ...

This is the beauty of UF - we get to share the world with each other - and I too now have so many desires to see it all :)))

Thank You for your very kind comment my dear - It is one of the best comments ever !!
Big Hugs from Michele~

Dear Michele,
apart from my photographic interest I'm getting also interested in the geology of the place and coast area where you live. Next to your writing I found even more information about the Oregon coast at http://www.beachconnection.net/geology.htm
I have been a few times more South in California and Nevada but never as North as Oregon. You show me how beautiful the settings and colors are and you make it very much coming to life with your pics and descriptions. Thank you so much,
Many hugs from Paul

Hi Joe ,

Thank You so much for your great comment -
The sky really is very blue here but I was mainly thinking 'photoart' when I see these shapes of the cliff against the sky so maybe I did have a heavier hand than I thought I did with saturating this -
I am glad you shared your opinion - Ohhh and I do love the grafitti on the cliff as well - the birds just happened to be there - I was surprised how far and long they followed me -
It's great to hear comments like yours - I don't want to get carried away :))

I am just beginging to learn some of the ev exposure settings and play around with them a lot - ..... anyway I am sending you a totally un-touched - virgin image of just the grafitti - straight from the camera - see what you think - I thought it might be fun to play around with one winter day for an abstract or whatever -

Best Regards ,
Michele~

I like the composition of the first better than the second. I feel you've overdone the colour saturation. Although I dislike graffiti, I think the carvings in the cliff which can be seen better in the second could be an interesting element. I suspect there is a story there. Maybe this could have been your primary point of interest with the gulls a possible second. I like the simplicity of the shot, sky, gulls and cliff.
Best regards,
Joe

People on the beach said 'oh they know you' - ha!! they know food is what they know -lol!!!

Thank You for your sharing your thoughts my dear - and know they are highly valued !

This is a very nicely composed photo with the gulls. I don't care for the one with the graffiti, because it makes me want to take revenge on eople that do this. BILL

Hello old friend!
Love that blue sky. I also like how the gulls appear to be overlooking their domain, with heads held high.
I enjoy this one more than the other POV you added for comparison. I think this post divides the frame better, with regards to the sky and rock, at least to my eye.
