Greg,
Congrats on such a fantastic Upload. I have been looking at this photo for the last hour.....walking away and coming back to it. I looked at the colors and contrast through out the shot. I know that Photography is VERY subjective and differs from Photographer to photographer. But I have to tell you that I could not agree with Tap Ioka's Comment
"My only problem is with the blue as dominant color, specially on the mountains. Kind of unnatural"
The problem I have with this is 3 fold.
( I know that you know what I am about to say, as do most Landscape Photographers)
1) Shooting Landscapes, are a different animal. You can go in a few differnt dirrections, One could stack a Cir Polarizer with a 3stop soft grad filter or you can compose the shot twice...once for the sky and the reflections and once for the land and mountains.
The problem with using a grad filter is that they don't work all that well with Mountains....much better for a diffined horizon line.
So I would have opted for the latter and exposed the shot twice and sandwiched them in photoshop.
There isn't a problem with the Blue sky or the blue in the reflection to me IMHO. In fact I don't see any problem with this shot at all. A very tiny nit pick to anyone could be the blue cast that you have on the Mountains. But to me those indicate the level of humidity in the air. either way its a simple fix with CS2 or CS3.
You have the incredible knack of capturing majestic beauty in all its glory my friend Keep up the good work.
After a long while looking at the shot. I Love the added Bonus that unless you are looking at the shot closly you can miss it. The truck and it reflection driving in the BG of the shot.
