About Krak des Chevaliers, made betwenn 1150 and 1250.King Edward I of England while in the Ninth Vrusade saw the fortress and used it as an example for his own castles in England and Wales. The fortress was described as "perhaps the best preserved and most wholly admirable castle in the world", by T.E. Lawrence, "Lawrence of Arabia".
