About Anyone know what this is?Lots of these around at the moment and they don't move as fast or fly as far as dragonflies or adult lion ants so it's possible to 'choose' an attractive background and get in very close.

Thanks for the information Ernie- I hope your insect collection is photographic-much more difficult getting a decent photo than simply catching and killing an insect,especially one that's so beautiful,donĄt you think?

This insect is in the lacewing family and its called Nemoptera sinuata not sure of the common name but it would make a good addition to my insect collection.
