Sas,

I know, as it was a real tight shoot and I could have turned the yellow down a bit, but this was a gray backdrop and I was playing around with my Bees... hehehe

Very nice portrait and I love her expression but for me the yellow BG light you use doesn't work that well. First it is to bright and second the lesser the better.
Best greeting my friend.

Jim,

I feel your pain my friend. This lighting was very hard to accomplish, due to very little room in a very tiny area. The back light strobe was less than 2 feet from the backdrop. If I had been in a studio I would have never posted this, but since I was doing a lot with a little the junior photogs can learn something from my mistakes I hope.

If you have any tricks or tips on how to use artificial lighting in a 8 x 10' space I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you my friend,

Martin

While I like this shot (heck I like your whole series of these shots) I am having some problems with the lighting in this one. The hot spot on the background keeps drawing my eye away from the model. I'd like to see this shot with that light dimmed a stop or so. You have the same effect in "What Did You Say?" (a great shot, by the way) but the hot spot is under her arm and is much less distracting. You have a similar situation in your "I Saw What You Did" and "That's My Story and I'm Stick'n To It" that is somewhat less distracting. Looks like you are using the same lighting setup in "My Sister Did It" and it really works well in that shot. Still in all, this is a great series.
