About The Falconer - Central Park
On the top of a large rock overlooking
Terrace Drive or the 72nd Street Cutoff, is the dynamic bronze statue of The Falconer, one of the most spectacular statues of Central Park.
Often unnoticed from the ground, is a figure of a young hunter dressed in an Elizabethan costume. His left arm is extended into the air while perched at the tip of his fingers is a large falcon spreading its wings in readiness for flight. To get a much better view of the statue one must climb the rock to observe its intensity.

hey Julie... don't afread that, it's a pretty easy way to erase something you don't want from a picture...
All the photo-programs like Adobe PhotoShop or Corel Photo Paint, or many others even free - open sorce programs have a tool named clone...
With that tool you can select an area and 'copy' it on another as you paint!!! So you can take some bruches around that area and put them ON the statue base to erase it...
believe me, that tool will be a 'second hand' after your camera...lol... I almost use it to all my photos...
be well Julie!

John, shhhhh I am going to tell you a secret. I don't know how to clone yet :(
I have been dedicating about 30 minutes a day to the book and PS to learn more, didn't get to cloning yet. Thank you so much for your feedback and words of encouragement dear John.
Hugs,
Julie.

I like this Julie, I think the angle and the fact it's BW works extremeley well. Well done.

now THAT is a great angle Julie, the result is like the statue...flying over you!!! Amazing also the way the brunches makes a 'hug' around the statue and around the frame too, something VERY importante here!
I could critique you to use the clone tool just to erase the small base of the statue that apears at the bottom left but that is really something that doesn't be bad... not at all...
you really do better and better shots, my complements!
