Hi Debra,
My name is Sam Graziano, I have spent the last few hours looking through your portfolio and I LIKE it! you have captured a lot of VERY beautiful scenes. I Love the low angle approach to this shot. With the water and curved ice leading the viewers eyes in through the shot. The color contrast between the woodline and the mountains in the upper third of the shot are stunning. Two things I might have done is
1) Remove the weed from the lower right hand side. In my humble opinion it doesn't bring anything to the fantastic shot. It is a bit distracting.
2) Either remove the plain frame from around this work of ART or Do a drop down frame using the color of the background as the native color of this web site. You could set your background to the following color. R 243 G 243 B 243 and then use the paint bucket and fill the background layer with that color. then make the canvas about 6 pixels wider then the photo and place a drop shadow at about 45% opacity. if you don't know how to do that I would be happy to give you a tutorial on how to accomplish it.
Your Photogaphy doesn't need anything to make them better. When thinking of how you want the viewers to see your image...be subjective and think to yourself if people will see the image or the frame.
Anyhow....sorry to be so long winded. Well shot image.

Well composed landscape. I think the overall warm tone makes this winter scene look a bit more friendly. I like the reflection on the water surface and footprint free snow. Congratulations.

I was there just a couple of weeks ago on the way out to the Ice Festival at Lake Louise... Great shot Debra... Beautiful color and composition with such detail in the foreground. I recognized the scene instantly! Nice to see some pic's of "home"!
