About Taken at one of the restaurants on the Piazza San Marco in Venice. As Pablo points out, very expensive, but on your first trip to Venice, a "must" stop!
This is a repost due to some need for cleaning up the image a bit.

I love the different expressions and the formal atmosphere, looks like a shot from some mens magazine. Great tones and composition. Alison

The image is clean, but as is often case, becomes plastic, Dave! What I like is the impression of concentration, pretension and formality in the waiter as contrasted to the laughter in the background. Great spontaneous image!

Hi Dave !

I live in Vicenza ( Veneto ) My city is from Venice around 80 kilometers.
I often go to Venice, obviously , and every time that I see it I am spellbound by its beauties.
Venice is a city for tourists and I know that the restaurants take advantage to lifting the prices especially of drinks and coffee. But it is worth of it.

Anyway what about this shot ? It is realistic , and well captured.

Ciao.

Great shot Dave.

As many have indicated, the sepia tone adds some elegance to the image. But as Nick suggested, I am a little curious how it would look in pure B&W, perhpas you could give it a try as a repost.

All the best,
Ed

I'm not sure about the effect either Dave, but sure looks like a swanky place. Good for you, that you were able to park yourself there.

Except for some pixelisation problems on his face, a great capture! I don't know exactly if the sepia is absolutely well fitting here, Dave - perhaps B&W would make it even better. But still it is a subject for a monochrome - be it sepia, or B&W. More than the very good details I admire the timing here. The face expression of the guy is of such an absolute character! It is the very description of the friendly yet also not too close behavior toward the guest. It is polite *and* warm, carrying the right amount of distance but also that kind of good-hearted behavior to the customer, that allows somebody to just feel nice in some bar, café or restaurant. A big big deal to capture that so well!

Cheers,

Nic

I love the sepia tone. It really shows off the jackets. Are both glasses of wine for you? Del.

This is a repost, I ran it through NeatImage to get rid of some noise due to cropping, so thanks to Pablo for the first comment!
