Thanks Eb, the bird shadow is obvious to me now lol! I left the buoy in because in my abstract thinking there is more than one 'sentinal' in the image. Deb

Beautifully done, Debra! I would suggest opening the bird shadow up just a bit and ask if you really want to include the buoy and piece of land in the upper right? The bird might be better placed more off centre, perhaps to the right. I feel that the bird competes as a subject with the beautiful lighted driftwood, 'though! Eb

Since you have put this as a CC image, I will say this: I think the scraps of tree bark and other debris at the bottom is not really adding anything to the shot.. IMO if you kept more expanse of the sea, with the lighthouse and the semblance of land on the right, it would look much better.
