Finally one, a little bit old ... back to digital? :( Lovely tones and expecially the lines definitions between the bricks... 3d effect!

Hi Roy, Very dynamic composition of lines, and a very good tonal range. This is a very impressive shot. Continuing on the composition, I only think the white face above the windows is (ever so) slightly distracting. But nonetheless a very impressive shot.
Cheers,
Hugo

Incredible. I really want to get into architecture exploration, and this is why. Such extrordinary composition. I really like the limited tonal range, and the fact that the majority of it is a nuetral gray. This seems to place a strong focus on the abstract nature of the shapes alone. And then at the same time, you know it is a physical space so you explor the photo to find human/manmade objects that give the shapes context. This is exactly what I want to create. Great work. Thanks for sharing it.

I'm sorry Roy I think you nailed it the first time. I like the subtle different shades of grey

Thanks Bill, Roy has a great eye for composition. So I will get him looking at light next. I am envious of his Shen Hao as it's a jewel like camera. The APO-Sironar 180, well what can I say! Not a bad effort for his first 4x5 outing.

Damn. Darrell is right Roy. It's all in the light. He has the only worthwhile comment out of everyone here. I just learned something too. Thanks Darrell.

Lighting is a bit flat, now that you have that great little 4x5" field camera start looking for the light. This image would jump off the screen with a raking side-light. The 180mm is an interesting focal length that works well in this example. Might be fun with a wide lens like a 121mm. I prefer the smaller version, mind you I do love using deep shadows in some of my work.

Fantastic Roy. Love the curves. I think the tonality in the small one you attached is a little better, but damn man!

Roy nice Architecture. This is great in black and white. I would have tried to get the light fixture out of the shot but that is just me.. Nice work.

Very nice geometrical photograph. I feel that a bit more of the staircase on the left would have been nice--but that is just my opinion. Still like the shot.

Sharp as a tack Roy and the curves contrast nicely against the straight line of the building and the cylinder of the columns.
