I SO know what you're talking about, Dave.
Having shot for a year with a lil' Kodak 4 megapixel camera that would H U N T for focus and take forever doing it...I laid hands on the 20D, and knew I was in deep trouble. I HAD to have that camera. It took me 6 months, but I snagged it.

My reason for choosing this particular Sigma lens (28-70) was the constant 2.8 aperature. I love how a 200mm compresses backgrounds for portraits and fashion shooting, but I really wanted the ability to blur the background out.

WHAT???? I would NEVER do something like that, Paul! LOL

Looks like your new lens if fabulous, too. You know, I went into competitive camera while in Dallas on New Years eve to replace that Tamron lens I bought just last June. It is giving me fits and seems to have gotten full of dust. So I picked up that Sigma 18-200... I'm sold on Sigma lately, especially because of my love for my 10-20mm.

Of course, to demonstrate the lens, they had to throw it on a 40D.... which I've been craving. The rest is history.

Thanks Dave.
The sky was cloudless when I shot the bridge, so I went into my clouds folder and found an appropriately warm image. ;)

Nicely accomplished, composition is excellent and the structure forms a perfect frame for a great sky.

Best wishes,
Dave
