About	Here I am with a statue of Oregon's Beavers, the official state Animal. BEAVER FACTS: North America's largest rodent, beavers may weigh up to 65 pounds and measure nearly 4 feet in length. With paddle-shaped tail, webbed hind feet, valves that close their ears while diving and a rich oil gland which waterproofs their fur, beaver are ideally suited for the aquatic environment. Beavers are primarily nocturnal, but may be seen at dusk or dawn, and occasionally during the day. Beavers eat a variety of vegetation, including herbaceous and succulent plants, though they depend primarily on woody plants for winter food. Their favorite trees are aspen, alder, willow, poplar, and cottonwood. Most western Oregon beaver do not build lodges, but burrow into stream banks in areas where lodges are not necessary or the waterways are too large to dam. Beavers in eastern Oregon are only slightly more likely to build the classic dam with lodge. Bank dens are most common because of frequent high water events which can wash away dams. The American beaver was named Oregon's state animal by the 1969 Legislature.

Better not let some people know you ate beavers...haha. At least I believe God gave us all the animals for food, even if I wouldn't want to eat some of them.;):):)

We use to have beavers in our pond, so we was tired of them and we just eat them, know kiding they are good, just pressure cook them, they taste like beef roast just a little sweeter.

Oh, my I do see why Gene is setting so still, I wouldn't want to move eather with so many beavers around. Have you ever eat a beaver? there was this lawer that payed a traper for the beavers he caught, and the lawer eat them, so we just though we would try them, and they was good, tast like beef with a little sweet taste. Come on you people try it you will like it. I sure am glad I haven't started paddleing my tail. excellent job. 7++++++++++++++++

Hahaha!!! Dave, you are out of control! First of all, that is NOT water, but a long twig the top beaver has in his mouth. Second, you added the 'big butt fairy'...very funny!
