About	Vasona Lake, December 2005 There is nothing common about these birds. They are very primitive looking, difficult to find, their bills are slender and full of teeth-like protrusions, besides, you usually only find females with not males in the surrounding lakes.

Hi Yamil,
It looks like a female Merganser. Or since it is Halloween, maybe it is a female Mallard dressed up like a Merganser. :)
The males are really beautiful. We get them here in the early spring, but they are very shy.
In any case, an excellent shot.
