Shirley, no Gene today but high hopes for tomorrow. many of the critters left on a rescue mission tonight, some still hold vigil here, however we put the ice creme in the freezer for them.

Jan, we have just heard he is being held captive in a warehouse and being forced into "bear labor". A rescue is planned and already in motion, hopefully my son is still at his base and only helping via phone, we know his "leave no bear behind" philosophy.

Rina, fingers are crossed, hands are linked together, hope is in our hearts. He will make it home safe and sound, we just know it. Monday evening and still no Gene, but a rescue mission was launched just this evening.

Perhaps they are threatening him with "honey-boarding". I know it is outlawed by the Geneva Conventions but the postal agents often show no mercy.

It's early Monday morning here in Auckland now. Waiting anxiously for business hours to start and then I'll be off to skin me some live ones.

Thank you Mitra for looking. Gene is a bear that is visiting many UF homes. The beginning link is http://www.usefilm.com/image/1300413.html. He is missing on his way home from New Zealand, we think he is being held by postal employees and are afraid he is being interogated. We are hoping for his safe return sometime this week.
