Hi Shyamal, I didn't use a lot of sharpening, but it is a fairly large crop, which might account for the effect you see.

Quite an accurate exposure that preserved all the finest details of the flying bird - and that despite the fact that it was moving! Perhaps a tiny bit of a tighter framing around the bird would enhance the importance of the main actor by leaving some of the not so interesting background out of the image. (But I think you simply couldn't zoom in closer?) Also, the bird seems a bit strange in its sharpness to me. Though it is in focus it seems to somehow have a "ghost" silhouette with the same shape around it, that oversharpens its appearance. Perhaps too strong afterwards sharpening of that region of the image?

Dave, great moment captured here, but the image bothers me. I hope you don't mind me asking, but did you use a lot of sharpening here? I can't find a focus point, and as a result my eye cannot follow the image, if you know what I mean, unless there was a quality loss in the compression, that could also be it.
Just my two-cents worth.
