About Half way up the steep sides of Tom Na Gruigach is a small plateau that is strewn with large eratics. It offers a brief rest stop before the steep climb resumes to the summit some 1.5 hours later. On this particular day I was to encounter some of my very favourite weather conditions as clouds and sunshine skirted the mountains and I found myself on the very edge of light.

The large rocks in the front seem to resemble large, freindly animals admiring the lovely scenery. The fogginess of the hills cretes a kind of mysterious feeling. This is a lovely peaceful image.

Excellent image, Ian. The light filtering through the clouds is a very nice touch, indeed. It is s shame that there were not more 'greens' to coax out, but 'tis the season, I suppose.
Bravo,

JP

I have a shot with the lake cut and without the lake impinged the rock loses all sigificance in the latter. as it blends too much with the surroundings.

Hi Mirek

I use Velvia film and scan the image into the computer then adjust the image to match the colour, hue, brightness and contrast of the original tranny. I refer to the image as viewed on a daylight light box beside my computer. in a word or two it is a very good match.

excellent shot but i would have preferred to see the lake fully instead of the big rock protruding from the left.

cheers,
~deb

Great landscape. The light piercing the clouds gives it the "wow" touch. Well done, the colors and depth of field to say nothing of the moment. Some may say lucky shot, but luck is where preparedness meets opportunity. I wonder if You bumped up the collors in PS or is it close to the original transparency? Excellent shot, worth a 7 note
