I like the shot Richard, simple yet very effective, great contrasting colours, very creative and beautiful. Congrats, well done.

I love the composition here. You have not only managed to make the sun appear hot but huge in the sky with no glare. The real dog days of August.

wow very nice capture of the sun rising, the colors are excellent, I like the tree in the foreground as it adds much to the scene..

This is a beautiful composition. It is uncomplicated and captivating. I love how you captured the pink of the Sun. I have trouble with that. Mostly, I get the Sun as white even when it looks so gloriously pink. I really like this picture.

Great shot, Richard. It really does have that hot hazy feel to it. Cheers, Gary

Aloha Richard,

It's been almost three years now since I have commented on any of your images and known you on this site, so I hope you have been well.

This indeed is a max telephoto as Rick has stated and perfect for the 'Project Category' also, but I think a bit more space around the great composition which wisely included a bit of botany to ground us would be even better but moreso for framing purposes.

Thanks for sharing, Best of Regards, and I hope you get at least an 'Honorable Mention' :)) for this submission if not an award!

Yes it has been brutal in Kentucky this summer also. Excellent effect. You must have had the lens zoomed to the max...rick
