thanks a lot Dave for your great comment...well actualy it's one, big and very fat, the main wall must be more than 5 meters (the walls of Heraklion, my place, the walls are even more fat...the size is about 25 meters and the high is always more than 15 meters...and at some places even more than 25...
Here just each rock layer ends one rock before the second etc...don't know why is that...

John, this archway nicely frames the colorful scene within. The interior is warm and sunny in contrast to the gray of the stones. nicely done.

Man oh man. What a cool archway, looks like it is triple walled... architecturally, I wonder why.

You know John, this gate would be a perfect project for Corel paint... I could see removing the market and replacing it wih a nice seascape with a sail boat or something. Would be tricky to pull off but a good project for a rainy day. If you ever get a rainy day, that is.

Best wishes,
Dave

thanks a lot Doyle for your kind comment...Rhodos has that uniqueness as you have a wall to ceperate moder from old and so at any gate you can see two different worlds.

This is very nice work John . . . excellent. The cooler tones and textures frame the warmer, modern ones farther along. I like the off-center angle as I think it gives a better indication of depth. Nicely Done!

thanks a lot Harry, the work is only at the walls and the background is real, Rhodos town is sepereted at two areas, modern that is around the port, and old that is into big walls and that excactly is presented here, from any gate you can see two different worlds...

So beautiful these frames! It reminds me of a town here in northern Portugal where you can go to the old town through a similar frame within a frame! Black and white must be great too ! Hugs!

I like the frame-within-frame. Sort of two different world, one old and ancient and the other new and modern. I like the contrast of scenes. And surely, as always, lovely work on the wall. The solitary man adds the human interest in the shot.
