These are the two of some of my cutie Samoan kids from the village of Sava’i that I got the chance to love, show God's love to, and get to know while living there. Marianne Williamson once said, “We are not held back by the love we didn't receive in the past, but by the love we're not extending in the present” I now realize that doesn’t only apply to the children living in extreme poverty in Samoa, Africa, Cuba, or whatever… but the kids and people in our every day lives. Are we extending that love in the present moment to people around us even in our very own communities? Makes you think… how well ARE we extending that love, and how well are we fulfilling God’s second greatest commandment for us:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the SECOND is like it:
Well, that's photography, Rachel! Direct, sincere, and without any effects, dreams, whatever! here you allow me to make my own thoughts about it by just looking at it!
Perfect timing again, excellent toning, and quite a good separaration of the main subject from the background, while at the same time the background still builds up the scene where the main actors can act!
As about your catechetical text about God and the rest, well... leave that away. It sounds just like the average bible-coran-whatever convinced person, and jus as simple historical study shows: Those books are not to be taken seriously.
OMG Rachel-- What sad statistics you give us ...but we must know this to repair this ... I Love this image because I see these little kids with skin problems, and infections, but they look right at YOU into your EYES + LENS of the camera but direct with soooo much LOVE for You and so much Pride. Excellent my dear , You are doing great work & I applaud you ...I also love Marianne Williamson - what a smart lady huh? She makes sence to me for sure.
