Such astounding beauty -- but a tree? I think not. Maybe carrying a bull-whip or toting a kayak or beating up a large, mean dog. But not a tree.

Hi Rina,
I'm flattered twice... included in your favourite photographers and I even got the gist of the image right :) :)
I think including a tree would have been a little heavy handed. There are lots of different ways to pose her as a Tomboy, if you want to, but this stand alone just fine.

i love it,just love it....can relate to the whole concept like it was yesterday...i still covet my flannels which luckily are not an oddity in the Great PNW Paul Bunyon country where we wrestle Moose for the last latte...oops,i mean last gooseberry...FOGF!....hemingway,she is lovely as ever and you captured her essence/mood and wonderful catchlights...i would like to see her dress if you managed one shot?.....cheers,gayle

Ahhh.... nice to know for sure my favourite photographers are still here :) Funny you should mention the story/title, I had this entered in a challenge on Dichotomy and I thought the division of personality was clear even without the title as well (then I'm close to it anyway). During the voting process, I received 2 comments to the effect that the dichotomy was clear w/out title and one comment suggesting the subject needed to be in a tree to have properly portrayed the Tomboy aspect! Ummmmm.... hehehehe.

Sounds gorgeous.....and if you got a little teary that's ok too, my 'babies' are only 11 and nearly 4, but even they are growing up too quickly for me. We are buying !bras! already!!! AAAARGH!! :)

Hiya Rebecca, thank you. She wore a little Studibaker number, same aqua/blue/turquoise colour as on her eyes. I'd have uploaded a shot of her in it, but once she had it on and the reality of it all set in, I couldn't hold the camera steady any more and pretty much stuffed up all the pics!
