About Another play with the Flood Filter. The Baobab Tree is normally found in the Northern Territory and is suited for dry areas as it can store water in it's bottle shaped trunk. Some landscapers planted one in a new housing estate near where I lived. I was taken with the way it looked against the setting sun. I then took it one step further and added the flood filter.

Great color and balance. The gradation of colors is wonderful in this image. Nice play with your post.
Be well, Stan

This is very eye catching Ann! Does the flood filter create the reflection???Or the illusion of water? The colors are rich and beautiful! The composition is very good! Well done! My Best................john

Thanks Gary. I actually deliberately didn't include the whole reflection. Thought it looked more natural. You should try the plugin. You can choose exactly how much ripple and waves you want. Really cool.:)

I'm not normally a fan of too much post processing, I'm a bit oldfashioned that way, but you've got me intrigued by this plugin. You've done a real good job with this image, if you'd managed to include a complete reflection it would be dam near perfect.
Regards, Gary

Very cool!...I've played with this a few times too...the filter I have allows you to add waves in the flood effect

Fun with filters. I like the photograph itself quite nicely.

Hi Cathy, The Flood Filter is a plugin for Photoshop made by Flaming Pear. You can download a free 30 day demo from their web page to try. It's fun. You can vary the effects, ripple, horizon and reflection etc. It's how I made the water reflection on this image. :)

Love the colours in this image. What is a flood filter and how did it change the image?? CC
