I belive that the colors are perfect, the image is clean and essential, the deep blue accentuate the majestic of the palace.

Not bad either, but D.C. with all it's granite & limestone architecture was made for B&W especially at night time ... perhaps.

Of the two Jefferson Memorial shots you posted I prefer the first one. The City lights glowing in the night time sky really bring the whole shot to life - without detracting from the beautiful memorial, and the reflections on the water really pop and draw your eyes right to the memorial.
