WOW...surely that is a very original portrait that we just NEED to see, bravo for that originality, and that originality cames not only for that tiny harmonica but also from the way you frame her face - neck with half and diagonal way! and the focus on that harmonica and that great mouth...both objects works togather...another great element here...
Excellent!!!

Sorry for what I'm about to say. I mean no offense to all the good people here that tried to (or considered to) "color correct" the original image...

Peta, other than the blue in the teeth, don't change nada... The blue tint gives it the edge it needs to make the image stand out from the ordinary. You're sitting on Pro level image that many here should aspire to.

Once more, excellent work!

Simply superb Peta. I love the way you compose this photo with the choice of focusing on the harmonica and the teeth.. This is a really fine work.
Congrats

Love that you think its original - thank you. I had another photographer tell me its lacking in most of my work :( (not that I listened, haha) He should also love your comment :)

Hey, I like the concept here. Very clever - Very original. As far as warm vs cool just so nothing distracts, as long as you can keep any blue off the teeth than either way looks good. A great idea and a great crop - shallow DOF also eally works well here IMO - VERY GOOD !!! Mark 7+

One heck of a shot! I like the cooler one too! I'm attaching a warmer one...teeth not blue at all but I'm still partial to your original. :) Would love to see this in B&W as well and see if it pops. :)

love it... I personally prefer the cooler tones it makes it more edgy in my view.. I mean I look at an image and say to myself what are they trying to tell me in this shot.. and for me the cool tone works as opposed to the previous comment in which I suggested darkening the images was because the tones on the chest appeared "flat" fwoabw... hence my suggestion and any time I make a suggestion... that is what it is... wholly and soley.. This image works very well...

Yeah that looks awesome Paul, thank you. Gives it more of a mainstream feel which is what I was avoiding for the client - but I prefer your version :)

I loved this capture the first time I saw it, the blue teeth can easily be fixed in PS if need be, and if doing the teeth you may as well take some of the blue out of the lips as well to bring them out.

cheers Jason

warmed skin tones

This is odd.

I can see why you went with the cool color cast, to compliment the metal. But even when I neutralize and skin tones come back, her teeth are still blue (like this).

The shot is clear, clever and sharp, Peta!

Well, well, well...

Hasn't your photographic stature grown significantly lately...?!

Pro level!

(Nit pick: loose the blue tint on the teeth - the rest of the pic looks great with the blue).

Well done Peta! :-)
