Thank you for commenting on two of my photographs. And thank you for giving me your website address, so I could read more of the story of your life than is present on USEFILM. Your work is beyond superb it is remarkable!!
I appreciate that you do your work for what I feel is love not necessarily money. And the age old question of hobby, amateur, professional, needs to be thrown out the window. Your work is better than 99.9% of the best photographers work I have seen. Ballet work better than Barbara Morgan, equal and beyond what Degas was able to do.
Not to belittle Degas as he is a master as we all know.
Your ballet, dance, and fantasy, are all exemplary. It is a feast for my eyes and heart to see and read of you and your work.
Steiglitz referred to himself as an amateur. I refer to myself as an amateur. While due sometimes to the making of money (professional in america is defined as someone making more than 50% of his earnings from photography). I will never be a professional. It doesn't matter. It does not take away my love of trying my best to produce images that capture an essence of truth of our world, and produced in a manner that might be visible to a viewer 300-500 years from now. Ergo platinum and photogravure.
That is one of my problems with photography overall. The majority if not 99% of all photographic images will not last long enough for persons of future centuries to see them. You know what I speak of. This is a discussion we shall get into on another occassion.

Mi queridisimo extrañado amigo...es increóble como se generan estos vínculos virtuales y se va gestando una corriente de afectos, estos sentimientos son soberbios, por encima de las fotos que uno hace...Es cierto estuve ausente bastante tiempo, con mucho trabajo profesional y por cierto presidiendo este Foto Club que tiene muchos años, muchisimos socios y muchisimos problemas.-
MI muy apreciado amigo, pese a todo me sirnto muy contento, en un momento especial de mi vida...Por mis nuevas fotos muchisimas gracias...estoy volviendo a mis series de ballet, que las siento y mucho ahora estoy armando una muestra sobre la formación de un bailarín clásico... con chicos, jóvenes bailarines en sus clases..ya tengo una gran producción y en dos meses vuelve el festival mundial de tango...
Lleno de proyectos y de ilusiones...esta es la vida...asi estamos y vos tenés un premio del sitio hoy, creo haber estado en esa foto le eché el ojo es sinceramente buena.-
Asumo que si estás es suficiente, asi que siento y pienso que estás bien y dime tu mami como sigue se ha repuesto...dos amigos siempre tienen mcuhas cosas para hablar.- OTRO KAPPPPPPPO ABRAZO-LUIS
