Stock photography is very tough to make any money unless you are selling your rights which I won`t do unless it`s really neccessary finance wise.I am with DREAMSTIME for about 9 months without much success but what I have learn from them in image quality control is priceless.Their smallest image is 3megapixels and they check every image.
Had a EDITOR`S choice image there!!
With limited money I have to look for bargains,recently got 2 lenses off Ebay pretty cheaply for the qaulity and condition.You will want lots of sd card so you can shoot freely.here is link to a deal,sign up for Google checkout and

I am shooting jpeg Robbie.... and WoW !! thank You for the kind comment I really didn't expect so much from that image because of the distance problem....
You are a Great shopper Robbie did anyone ever tell you that before (lol) ?? Well You really are--- and I appreciate that I just hate shopping so I am guilty of some convenience when the pocket allows... not much lately tho -lol!!!
Robbie I am trying to sell images for $$$$ on Shutterpoint---- It's taken me all day loong learning new stuff AGAIN... and they want files of a minimum of 1024 pixels, which were the exact size of all my images before down-sizing sooooooooo I had to go out shooting monster images today - ha!!! I need to make the hobby help pay for itself right ? If it works ... we will see - Just wanted to share with you why I am not around as much nor will be for a bit as I get set up - then I'll be back in full swing .... but I will always be around :))

Beautiful shot of the river Michele,lovely colors
and well composed with that short zoom.Better start saving after your computer for a long zoom,you will want one.As you improve you want better stuff to continue your growth.
Just take it easy and enjoy what you have,it will help you a lot.
Got a Dell at their outlet recently just for my images,it`s was much better than the stores.I used my old one for surfing,when you get your new puter you might consider downloading your images to a external drive and clean it up for the net.

Don't You swim ? Other-wise you will have to tell me why not--- it's just a small rush of water- not a BIG DEAL---altho we went further up where it was a VERY BIG deal
My problem is I only have the lens that came with the camera at this time John- no telephoto, no 'cool fisheye' nothing else just 55mm hardly no distance at all:(
But everything is temporary so soon, asap I will have more lens to use:))

Great action shot Michele, looks like a beautiful spot. I like the colour of the water and the composition, the bright, high contrast sun light is very difficult, you did very well considering.

Ah IŽve always wanted to try this, Michele! It must be great fun, but then IŽll have to go to my neighbourcountries where nature is wild and beautiful.
NIce shot and hard to take. Onlly suggestion would be to crop out some more of the top as the rapids, the boat and the rockformations on the right are the most interesting.

Hi Michele, Now you've hit my weak spot. I love river rapids and canoeing though them. excellent view. It sounds like you may need another zoom lens. They can do wonders so you don't have to do too many gymnastics. BILL NAGY
