Wild tulips in Oregon?? The Dutch Northwest?? Wow . . . learn something new (or different) every day. Lovely find Michele.
I have looked into the cropped tulip issue which seems to be the major topic here . . . and I have developed my own opinion too. My first reaction was an immediate "What the . . . ?" thought because usually that's just not a good idea. Of course, you have sold me on your version here. I slight pivot and reshoot to put the whole thing inside the frame would eliminate some of the left side green and open area . . . and cause a fakish, balanced feel (IMO). As it is, there is a cetain ambivalent tension in the shot which is quite good. I remember my shot entitled "Alondra" had several ducks literally cut in half. Sometimes . . . it's needed . . . your grouping here seems to reflect the randomness from the reality and the branch is an awesome accent to connect them all together. I would have chosen a much smaller aperture to blur the BG more, but that's personal preference. These colors work very well together too! This is nice work!

Beautiful shot, very well captured Michele. Great colours, very sharp focus with excellent detail. The composition is very good, I like the branch coming in from the top, sort of ties it all together and I have no problem with the partial tulip on the right. Very good work.

Michele, nice image, good color, focus and the composition would have better IMHO if the tulip on the right side had not been cropped out slightly. Just my opinions, you are the artist.
