This is me a few years ago when I was a smoker. i keep it to remind me of the horrors of smoking. I was relaxing after a day at the beachhouse with a glass of scotch and writing on notepad. What a cool guy eh!
Heaven knows computers have been known to drive people to drink and smoke ... :) I agree that cropping might improve it, but my only real suggestion would be to go back and add it to the "pictures of our members" category. Good to see you. :)
Les, you know what I like about this? There is a juxtaposition of the true subject (man relaxing at the beach house) with an incongruent representation. Instead, it looks like a man who has so much work that he has to take it home with him, coping with a cigarette and a glass of scotch. As a stand alone image, it is more of a snapshot, but knowing your story behind it makes it more powerful. Maybe I'll look at other photographs with more questions than answers. Interesting post. (Good for you for stopping smoking!)
