Great shot Nicole.
These troublesome little birds were one of my favourite parts of my trip to New Zealand.
As for their destructive nature, well that's why you get full coverage insurance on the rental, then you can relax and get some good shots of it.

No..Thank God we had no problems with them,but we were very close to them Joe.Other people had a lot of damages on their cars!!I had a red scarf and I played a bit with them.They were very trusting.I appreciate your comments sooo much !!!Warm wishes,Nicole

Sounds like you have had some personal experience with the capabilities of this bird. :) :)
I really like your shot. Very sharp focus with great detail, you can see every feather. Nice pose, great composition, and nice soft colours.

I know your parrots too.I was several times in your beautiful country! LOL Nicole... Now that's a nice cocky... Love the beautiful detail and colours here... and don't doubt at all the damage that can be done by that beak... Extra nice DoF also...:)))
The parrots here just do the same sort of work on houses, trees, in fact structures of any kind become targets... It's the crows who pull the rubbery bits off cars... LOL... We would wrap our windscreen wipers in towels etc...:)))
