Yeah, better. Now she stands out. You might try converting just the background to b&w and mess with the contrast on that layer. I think this shot has some pretty good potential.

Can you post the color version for comparison? The closeness of coloration between the wall and the model in this shot bothers me. I don't know if boosting the contract could help that or not.
