About	This is the latest in an ongoing attempt to recreate with the Nikon D70s some of the shots I took with my old Minolta A2. This is water drops on a sheet of glass treated with Rain-X with a flower head below. There does seem to be a slight sharpness issue which I don't fully understand - I suspect it maybe vibration from the shutter, even though I'm using a remote control and tripod, albeit a cruddy one. But the Manfrotto super solid jobbie should be here on Friday...

this one is simply astounding. i'd say its poster material that should be for sale somewhere. how did you ever come up with the idea in the first place? as for the shaky tripod, the manfrotto is what you want, those things are built like tanks. unfortunately so much so, that they're difficult to carry around. i dont travel with mine, but i really should as it makes a difference.

Did you try again with the Manfrotto? It looks really sharp from where I am looking, but then we are always critical of our own shots.. that is an amazing idea, I am going to steal away and try it. Cheers!

Brilliant shot - very creative.
If you're having trouble with sharpness/vibration, does your camera support mirror lockup? Try it if it's available - it may make all the difference.

Brilliant, AJ. Fantastic colours. Do you have mirror lockup on the Nikon? I use it all the time for close-ups. The mirror slap makes a lot of vibrations, even with a cable release.:)

This is amazing! At first from the thumbnail I thought that it was some kind of shower head just as it started falling. I love the reflection of the flower in each of the droplets. If that was with a cruddy tripod, I can't wait to see shots with the new one, because this is fantastic. Great idea, great execution.

Hey there AJ, this is fantastic!!
A unique idea that has been presented perfectly.
For some reason this image reminds me of the old amber glass my Mum collects, some of the vases and bowls have bubbles formed in their bases that look a lot like this, must be the colour and bubbles that connects the two for me.
