About Hmm, I added the border...while this looks like one flower, it's 20 cyclamens bunched together and yet it still looks like there is a centre..on that note...does it look too "centred"? Tried cropping and I just lost the niceness of the shot...thoughts and critiques appreciated!

~~GRIN~~... Ditto from me also S...

My suggestions are not *law*... just passing on what I do when a little flummoxed with a shot...:)))

I try not to *critique* unless a question has been posed, mainly out of the *artistic license* of the individual photographer and how they percieve their shot...:)))

If something is blatantly obvious/wrong, I'll make a suggestion... But, as I'm still getting the hang of this fun stuff myself, it's a suggestion only...:)))

~~GRIN~~

~~GRIN~~... Hey S...:))) You is back...:)))

Beautiful cyclamens, the colour is lovely Sandra...))) Petal shapes in rich silk taffeta... As Michele said, 'does not look too centred'...:))) Love the way the fine white edge defines the the curves and reflects the light...:)))

Extra nice S...:)))

The only thing I do, or can suggest, is, walk around the shot, or, turn it if in the pot/vase etc... Set your camera up in relation to where you want the light source on the subject from... Sides, overhead, window light, outdoors etc... Look at the view as in how the frame fills, how the light and shadow changes on the petals as you turn the pot... Do you want the frame filled with no outside interest intruding... Angle of shot, be it straight on, above looking down etc... Do you want it to be abstract, as in just shape and colour, or do you want an up front *flower*... Above all... Relax... Have Fun... :)))

Hope this is of some help, and remember, this is only a suggestion ~~GRIN~~...

Onie...
