Just a reply to Saad's question about the rule of thirds (if it was indeed a serious question). If one was strictly following the rules then you'd typically see the horizon closer to the "third" of the frame, but in this case the boat is placed there instead both vertically and horizontally, thus resting on a compositional power point. And, as the numeric fellow above pointed out, the sail connects the contrast of the sky to the water and breaks the horizon which lends a sense of serenity, a completeness.

very nice silhouette, I like the mood it creates while vewing it. The lines on the on the sky and the lines on the water compiment each other while th have a very contrasty in color. the sail connects these two element in the photo.. nice composition!

Thanks Gary - sunset... and barely got out in time for it. Was stuck within the stone city waiting for some friends and could just see the sun sinking lower and lower - so sprinted out to the waterfront and definitly got rewarded for it.
