About Taken in late afternoon, overcast light. There was a run-down train yard with bits of rails, ties and other such things just lying around the feed mill, and though there were several interesting things around which to shoot, the only thing in this image is a bit of rail visible behind him, yet this turned out to be one of my favorites from the shoot.

Toned in Photoshop...tried something else this time. Not sure if it gives the image anything, but I decided to leave it like it turned out anyway, since it took so long.

Catch lights weren't visible in his eyes, since there weren't any bright things in front of him to create them. I didn't use any light modifiers for this shoot, either, though perhaps I should've, if for no other reason than to create catch lights.

One thing I'll, say, though, is that the Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens is one sharp piece of glass. I did the entire shoot wide-open, and the pictures came out tack-sharp, which is unusual for large apertures. I suppose that's just the nature of true macro lenses, but Canon's lens certainly gives a big bang for the buck. :)
